Wendy’s, the well-known American burger chain, is set to open a new location in Derbyshire this month. The new branch in Barlborough aims to deliver the signature Wendy’s taste that has made the brand popular in the U.S. since its founding in Ohio in 1969.
The new restaurant will be situated at Tallys End, near Junction 30 of the M1. The menu will feature a variety of beloved items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Customers can look forward to favorites such as the Baconator, Dave’s Single, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and the Frosty dessert.
Wendy’s is committed to serving “freshly prepared” and “high-quality” food at affordable prices. The new location will also offer exclusive items available only in the UK, including chicken fillet nuggets and the Curry Bean Burger, which is cut square like Wendy’s beef burgers.
A full breakfast menu will be available until 10:30 AM, featuring early morning options such as the Breakfast Baconator, Croissant Sandwiches, and the Classic Egg and Cheese Sandwich. Customers can also enjoy a range of high-quality coffee drinks, including Flat Whites, Cappuccinos, and Lattes.
Founded over 50 years ago by Dave Thomas in Columbus, Ohio, Wendy’s is best known for its made-to-order square hamburgers, fresh salads, and signature items like chili con carne, baked potatoes, and Frosty desserts. Today, Wendy’s and its franchisees employ hundreds of thousands of people across more than 7,000 restaurants worldwide, with a vision of becoming the most beloved restaurant brand globally.
The new Barlborough location will be the second Wendy’s restaurant to open in Derbyshire, following the launch of the Normanton store in November. The Barlborough branch will officially open its doors on Friday, September 13, at 10:30 AM.
The restaurant will operate from 7 AM to 11 PM, Monday through Saturday, and from 8 AM to 10 PM on Sundays.
