Restaurant Back in Operation Following Health Inspection.
A KFC restaurant in Inverness has reopened after voluntarily closing due to a health inspection that highlighted several issues requiring immediate attention.
The KFC, located on Millburn Road, was inspected by environmental health officers from the Highland Council on August 26. The inspection revealed several concerns, prompting the restaurant to close voluntarily on August 27 to address the issues.
In a statement, a KFC spokesperson emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene:
“Operating responsibly is our number one priority, and we have strict processes in place to ensure the quality and hygiene standards of all our restaurants. Our Inverness restaurant voluntarily closed yesterday for routine hygiene review and maintenance. But fear not! We’re now back at the fryers and open as usual.”
Issues Resolved to Satisfaction
The Highland Council confirmed that after discussions with KFC management, the decision to close was made to allow for a thorough review and necessary maintenance. “Environmental health officers visited the KFC, Millburn Road, Inverness premises on August 26 and identified several matters requiring attention. Following discussions with the company management, they took the decision to voluntarily close whilst the matters were addressed,” a spokesperson said.
The council further reported that the restaurant’s management was cooperative throughout the process. After a follow-up inspection on August 27, all identified issues were satisfactorily resolved, allowing the restaurant to reopen.
The Inverness KFC is now back in operation and serving customers as usual.
