Starbucks is giving its Rewards members a chance to earn free drinks and food faster by offering a Triple Star Day on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. On this day, customers enrolled in the loyalty program can earn three or even six times the stars on all transactions, except for alcohol, gift cards, and card reloads.
To activate the offer, customers need to download the Starbucks app, set up or sign into a Rewards account, and enable the Triple Star Day offer within the home tab.
How Stars Work
Starbucks Rewards members typically earn one star for every $1 spent. However, on Triple Star Days, customers earn three stars for every $1 spent when paying with credit, debit cards, or cash. Those paying with Starbucks gift cards or digital cards in the app earn six stars for every $1 spent.
Here’s a breakdown of what customers can get with different star levels:
25 stars: Customize your drink with an extra espresso shot, a non-dairy milk substitute, or a splash of your favorite syrup.
100 stars: Treat yourself to a brewed coffee, bakery item, packaged snack, and more.
200 stars: Enjoy a handcrafted drink (cold brew, lattes, and more) or hot breakfast.
300 stars: Grab a lunchtime sandwich, protein box, or at-home coffee.
400 stars: Pick out some select merchandise or upgrade your at-home coffee game.
Fall Favorites Return
Starbucks has also rolled out its fall menu on August 22, featuring returning favorites and new drinks. The Pumpkin Spice Latte, made with real pumpkin and a combination of Starbucks Signature Espresso, steamed milk, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove, is back in hot, iced, or blended versions.
Other pumpkin-flavored drinks include the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew with vanilla syrup, pumpkin cream cold foam, and a pumpkin spice topping, as well as the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, which pairs a rich blend of spiced chai notes with pumpkin cream cold foam and a pumpkin spice topping.
Apple flavors also make an appearance, with the new Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai, the returning Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato, and the Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso.
Customers can also find the new Raccoon Cake Pop, the returning Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Baked Apple Croissant, and popular Pumpkin & Pepita Loaf in the pastry case.
