As summer draws to a close, Starbucks Japan is celebrating with the introduction of the limited-time Sunset Pineapple Frappuccino. This new beverage, available for just nine days, adds a unique twist to the previously released Sunshine Pineapple Frappuccino.
The Sunset Frappuccino features a refreshing layer of citrus pulp, enhancing both the flavor and appearance of the drink.
While the Sunshine version was designed to evoke a beach day, complete with blue sea salt jelly representing water and pineapple juice symbolizing the sun, the Sunset Frappuccino captures the essence of a beachside sunset. The addition of citrus pulp creates a vibrant orange gradient, reminiscent of a stunning sunset.
The citrus pulp includes yuzu, a popular Japanese citrus fruit, which adds a sweet contrast to the tartness of the pineapple.
As customers mix the citrus layer into the drink, they will notice a change in both color and flavor, enriching the overall taste experience.
This beautiful drink is available from August 26 to September 3, priced at 786 yen (approximately $5.46) for takeout and 800 yen for dine-in. As summer fades, the Sunset Pineapple Frappuccino offers a delightful way to say goodbye to the season.
