As the back-to-school season kicks off, Wendy’s and Burger King are giving customers a special treat: free kids’ meals.
At Wendy’s, the kids’ meal options include four-piece chicken nuggets, cheeseburgers, hamburgers, Jr. french fries, or apple slices. Each meal also comes with a drink and a toy. To get this deal, customers must purchase a “premium combo meal” such as the Baconator or the spicy chicken sandwich through the Wendy’s app. The offer is available to Wendy’s rewards members and ends on September 2.
Burger King is also offering a free King Jr. meal with a $10 purchase at participating locations or online until August 25. Kids at Burger King can choose from a double cheeseburger, four-piece chicken nuggets, six-piece chicken nuggets, cheeseburger, or hamburger as their main entrée. The sides include french fries, onion rings, Have-sies (a mix of french fries and onion rings), or apple sauce. The meal also includes a drink and a choice between a toy or a chocolate chip cookie.
These promotions come as fast-food chains across the country try to attract more customers with discounts and value meals. Many people have been dining out less due to rising costs, and these deals are designed to bring them back.
