Chipotle is bringing back its popular IQ test, offering customers the chance to earn “buy one, get one free” (BOGO) deals by answering trivia questions correctly.
Starting August 20, Chipotle will run the test for the fifth consecutive year. To participate, customers must be registered with Chipotle Rewards and use the same email address for the test as their Rewards account. The program will be available from 9:00 AM ET on August 20 until 11:59 PM ET on August 22. Participants can take the trivia test once each day.
To begin, visit the Chipotle IQ website and enter a valid email to start the test. The test features 10 questions with no time limit, typically in multiple-choice or true/false format. To win a BOGO code, you must answer all 10 questions correctly. Chipotle will award 5,000 codes per hour to the first Rewards members who achieve a perfect score.
New this year, Chipotle will also reward participants who do not get a perfect score. Those who correctly answer 7 to 9 questions will receive 25 free Rewards points. If all codes for the hour are claimed before you finish the test, you may still earn bonus Rewards points.
Chipotle has shared an initial hint for the test: “We use 48 avocados in every batch of our hand-mashed guac.” This hint suggests that questions will cover Chipotle’s ingredients, food preparation methods, and its achievements in fundraising and sustainability.
