BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A Burger King employee in Baton Rouge has been arrested on charges related to fraud after allegedly photographing customers’ bank cards at the drive-thru.
Rachel Henderson, 47, was taken into custody on Tuesday, August 13, by the Baton Rouge Police Department. She faces charges of access device fraud, identity theft, and violating the anti-skimming act.
The incident came to light when a customer at the Burger King on Perkins Road reportedly saw Henderson, who was working as a cashier, taking a picture of both sides of his debit card before returning it to him.
The customer then seized Henderson’s phone and notified the authorities. According to police, the phone contained images of the front and back of several bank cards, supporting the allegations.
Henderson confessed to taking the photos, as confirmed by police. She has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
