Earlier this year, it was announced that Chick-fil-A would open a restaurant in San Mateo at the Bridgepointe Shopping Center. Property officials initially stated that the popular fast-food chain was set to open this fall.
However, the Chick-fil-A is opening sooner than planned. The restaurant will open this Thursday, August 8, as announced in a recent news release by Chick-fil-A.
Chick-fil-A in San Mateo will operate Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Georgia-based chain is known for being closed on Sundays.
The new San Mateo Chick-fil-A is located at 2210 Bridgepointe Parkway. This franchise location is owned by Reagan Collier.
Chick-fil-A joins other restaurant chains at Bridgepointe Shopping Center, including The Habit, Panera Bread, Chipotle, Panda Express, and Nick the Greek.
Another Chick-fil-A is set to open in the Bay Area. KRON4 reported last December that a new location will open at the Willows Shopping Center in Concord. While there is no exact opening date, Chick-fil-A’s website indicates it is “coming soon.”
Currently, there are 25 Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Bay Area.
