In light of CJ’s QSR Group entering voluntary administration, QSR Foods has confirmed that all Carl’s Jr. restaurants in Queensland will continue to operate as usual. CJ’s QSR Group, based in Victoria, is the Australian Master Licensee for Carl’s Jr. restaurants, but its financial troubles will not impact the Queensland outlets.
Following the news of CJ’s QSR Group’s administration and the closure of over 20 restaurants in Victoria, Queensland’s Carl’s Jr. locations have seen a notable increase in sales. This boost in business is attributed to the strong support from local customers.
Carmen Jennar, Operations Manager at QSR Foods, which franchises multiple Carl’s Jr. and Cinnabon locations in Queensland, thanked patrons for their continued support. “We’ve experienced a significant rise in sales and are deeply appreciative of the community’s support. Their loyalty has been crucial in securing 450 jobs.”
The Queensland Carl’s Jr. restaurants are independently operated by third-party sub-licensees, including QSR Foods. These locations will soon shift to a direct licensing agreement with CKE Restaurant Holdings, Inc., which owns both Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s Restaurants.
All 450 employees at Queensland’s Carl’s Jr. restaurants will maintain their positions through this transition.
