KFC Hong Kong has partnered with Edelman Hong Kong to launch a 3D billboard promoting its new “K! Grab & Go” collection. This collection features items such as the “Original Recipe Burger,” “Zinger Stacker,” and “Colonel Burger.”
From July 31 to August 13, KFC mobile app members who scan the QR code on the 3D billboard at Mong Kok’s New Town Mall at 3 pm daily can win chicken burger vouchers, available while supplies last.
In addition to the 3D billboard, the campaign includes a 30-second ad highlighting KFC Hong Kong’s partnership with the recent action movie “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Customers who purchase the featured burgers during the promotion period will receive special edition packaging with “Deadpool and Wolverine.”
KFC has also released five limited-edition merchandise items inspired by the characters from the movie. These items include a drinking cup, an eco-friendly tote bag, color-changing cups, and an umbrella, all featuring Deadpool and Wolverine.
To further engage fans, KFC has created a “Deadpool and Wolverine” themed activation at its Causeway Bay branch. The store’s design incorporates elements from the movie, and the second floor features large check-in booths for interaction with the movie characters.
This isn’t the first time KFC HK has used large-scale billboards for promotion. In November 2023, KFC Hong Kong launched billboards throughout the city for its new “FING FING Cajun Chips.” The campaign, inspired by the product’s fun name meaning “shaking” or “rocking” in Cantonese, featured an optical trick where the message was only visible when passersby rocked their heads. These billboards were placed at tourist hotspots like Causeway Bay and Mong Kok and coincided with other promotional announcements for the chips.
