In Missouri, a Jack in the Box manager was run over by a customer upset about a missing item from her order, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
On July 16, Tananye Carter, 41, visited the fast-food restaurant to complain that a chicken strip was missing from her order placed three days earlier. After the manager replaced the missing chicken strip, Carter then argued about not receiving enough ranch dressing. This led to Carter spitting in the manager’s face before leaving the store, as stated in court documents.
The manager followed Carter outside in an attempt to document her license plate number. Carter, angered by the situation, responded by saying, “You’re trying to get charges put on me?” before getting into her vehicle and reversing into the manager, police reported.
The impact struck the manager’s foot and ankle, causing her to fall and sustain a swollen and bruised ankle. Carter was arrested the following day and faces charges of second-degree assault and fourth-degree assault. During a court appearance on July 19, Carter was ordered to remain in jail without bond.
