Rumors circulating about Burger King setting up shop at the BP service station in Wānaka’s Three Parks development have been quashed by the developer. Despite construction activity spotted at the site and social media discussions, Three Parks developer Allan Dippie clarified that Burger King’s arrival is not in the cards.

The speculation arose after recent confirmation of a McDonald’s coming to Wānaka, prompting further conjecture about additional fast food options at the Tim Wallis Drive location. However, local BP staff confirmed that the construction underway is for two new electric vehicle charging stations, not a Burger King drive-thru.

Addressing the rumors, Dippie stated, “It’s not a happening thing,” while acknowledging the buzz surrounding the potential arrival. He suggested that if anyone believes otherwise, they are free to report on it, encouraging debate on the matter.

Regarding existing food options, Dippie noted the presence of numerous other food retailers at Three Parks, emphasizing the variety already available to visitors.
