Oshkosh residents can look forward to the return of Wendy’s to their city, as the popular fast-food chain prepares to reopen its doors at the familiar 2360 Westowne location. The reopening comes just eight months after the restaurant closed unexpectedly.
The branch will mark its return with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on July 9, followed by its official reopening to the public.
Last November, patrons were surprised to find signs inside the restaurant indicating its closure without explanation. Now, under new ownership, Wendy’s is ready to resume serving its menu of favorite items.
Currently, Wendy’s other locations in Appleton at 3300 S. Oneida and 3815 Wisconsin Ave are listed as “temporarily closed.”
