LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Joel Stinnett) — Jack in the Box Inc. is expanding its presence in Louisville, with plans to open a new restaurant in Okolona, as reported by Louisville Business First.
The popular fast food chain, based in San Diego, will set up shop at 7801 Preston Highway, near the intersection with Outer Loop, according to a filing with Louisville Metro Planning and Design.
Jack in the Box made its debut in Louisville last year with a location at 10700 Dixie Highway in Valley Station. Since then, it has opened a second restaurant at 3232 Bardstown Road.
In August, Van Ingram, the vice president of franchise recruitment for Jack in the Box, stated that the company aims to build brand equity in Louisville through both company-owned and franchised locations.
Louisville is expected to serve as a key market for Jack in the Box’s expansion into the Midwest.
