However, there’s one Wendy’s location that stands out for night owls.
Wendy’s, a popular fast-food chain founded by Dave Thomas in 1969, has grown to become the world’s third-largest hamburger fast-food chain. In 2023, there were 7,166 Wendy’s outlets, with only a fraction operating 24/7, including one in the Hudson Valley.
After exploring numerous Wendy’s locations in the Hudson Valley, we discovered that most close by 2 am, leaving only one as the sole 24-hour Wendy’s in the region. Located on Main Street in Poughkeepsie, this Wendy’s caters to late-night cravings for Baconators and other favorites.
Previously, this Wendy’s closed at 3 am but recently shifted to being open 24 hours, providing a convenient option for those seeking a late-night snack fix. It’s worth noting that in New York State, there are only a handful of Wendy’s locations that operate round the clock, making this Poughkeepsie spot a rare find for nocturnal diners.
Editor’s Note: Confirming with Wendy’s corporate revealed that besides the Poughkeepsie location, there are only three other 24-hour Wendy’s in New York State.
