The plan to relocate the Taco Bell” data-wpil-keyword-link=”linked”>Taco Bell in downtown Fort Wayne has progressed to the Fort Wayne City Council for consideration. During the recent business meeting on Monday night, the Fort Wayne Plan Commission advanced the rezoning and primary development plan to the city council. This plan aims to move the downtown Taco Bell to a vacant lot located diagonally opposite its current location.
The proposed relocation to 1116 Ewing Street follows plans by Delight TB Indiana 4 LLC to revamp the current building housing the fast-food restaurant. The current half-block, spanning over three acres and housing the fast-food restaurant, is slated to be sold to a developer. The developer intends to utilize the space for a development that offers more value than the current Taco Bell, Rally’s, and King Gyro’s establishments, according to Don Steininger, the secretary of the Capital Improvement Board.
The future of the neighboring fast-food establishments, Rally’s and King Gyro’s, located on the same half-block, remains uncertain and subject to speculation.
