Fast food restaurants are facing pressure from customers concerned about rising prices. To compete, many are offering special deals.
Burger King” data-wpil-keyword-link=”linked”>Burger King is joining the fight with the return of its popular “$5 Your Way Meal.
This deal, available at participating locations throughout the summer, offers a choice of a Whopper Jr., Chicken Jr., or bacon cheeseburger, along with four chicken nuggets, fries, and a drink, all for just $5.
Burger King previously announced the deal’s return in April, following a successful period of value-driven sales. “We are bringing back our $5 ‘Your Way Meal’ as agreed upon with our franchisees,” a spokesperson said.
This move directly challenges McDonald’s, which is launching a similar deal on June 25. While McDonald’s deal will last for about a month, Burger King’s deal is available for the entire summer, potentially attracting more customers.
McDonald’s offer includes a choice of a McChicken or McDouble, four-piece Chicken McNuggets, fries, and a drink.
Beyond Burger King’s $5 deal, other fast-food chains are also offering value options. Wendy’s recently launched a $3 breakfast value meal, including a small order of potatoes and a choice of a Bacon, Egg & Cheese English Muffin or a Sausage, Egg & Cheese English Muffin.
Burger King is also testing a new line of Flame-Grilled Chicken Sandwiches and Wraps in Omaha, Nebraska, and Huntsville, Alabama.
