The transition to renewable energy for the supply chain began in November 2023 with the activation of the Jollibee Group’s Zen3 facility in Canlubang, Laguna.

Continuing this commitment, the Jollibee Group introduced clean energy options at its largest manufacturing site, the Canlubang Baking Facility (CBF). The two solar projects combined have a capacity of 5.05 Megawatts.

Additionally, two newly solar-powered sites, with a total energy capacity of 4.05 megawatts, include Jollibee Worldwide Services-Logistics (JWS-L) in Parañaque and the C3 manufacturing site in Laguna.

All four manufacturing facilities are now able to reduce their reliance on the grid, cutting their combined average power consumption by approximately 15 percent annually—a substantial move towards a greener future.

The integration of renewable energy into Jollibee Group’s manufacturing sites aligns with the Company’s global sustainability agenda, Joy for Tomorrow. This agenda, serving as the Jollibee Group’s strategic framework, prioritizes energy efficiency under its Planet focus.

Vincent Martin Villegas, Senior Vice President of First Gen Corporation and concurrent Chief Operating Officer of Pi Energy, expressed, “We are delighted to collaborate with the Jollibee Group on their sustainability journey, assisting them in harnessing solar energy. We anticipate continuing this partnership to bring not only the joy of dining but also a sustainable and regenerative future.”

First Gen Corporation, a subsidiary of the Lopez-led conglomerate First Philippine Holdings Corporation (FPH), boasts the largest portfolio of power plants utilizing clean and renewable energy sources.

Beyond renewable energy, the Jollibee Group also emphasizes waste reduction and packaging sustainability across all its brands.
