Burger King” data-wpil-keyword-link=”linked”>Burger King is venturing beyond its signature burgers with a new menu lineup. The chain, famous for its burgers, is now testing Flame-Grilled Chicken Sandwiches and Wraps to gauge customer interest. Starting June 6, customers in Omaha, Nebraska, and Huntsville, Alabama, will have the opportunity to try these new offerings.
The new lineup includes Classic, Fiery, and Bacon and Swiss Royal Crispy chicken sandwiches, all made with flame-grilled chicken breast. Customers can also opt for a half flame-grilled chicken breast in place of the usual crispy white meat chicken in the Royal Crispy Wraps, adding a fresh twist to the menu.
Additionally, the Flame-Grilled Royal Crispy Wraps will come in various flavors like Classic, Fiery, Honey Mustard, Philly, Fiery Bacon, and Bacon and Cheddar.
Burger King, like many fast-food chains, often tests new products in select markets before considering nationwide launches.
For instance, in 2019, Burger King introduced Impossible Whoppers made with plant-based Impossible patties, initially testing them in 59 restaurants in the St. Louis area before expanding nationwide.
However, not all tests lead to national rollouts. In 2021, Burger King tested plant-based nuggets in Des Moines, Iowa, Boston, Massachusetts, and Miami, Florida, but the response didn’t warrant further expansion.
Similarly, in 2022, Burger King tested an everything-seasoned burger bun and an “Everything Menu” in Huntsville, Alabama, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, but these tests didn’t gain traction for wider appeal.
Despite occasional trial runs that don’t translate into national offerings, Burger King continues to explore innovative menu options to meet customer preferences.
