HANFORD, Calif. — A disturbance at a local Burger King led to the arrest of a man who police say threatened and assaulted employees over a mistake in his order, according to the Hanford Police Department.
Authorities reported that the incident occurred around 7:43 p.m. on Monday at the Burger King on 2567 N. 11th Ave. Police were called to the scene due to a physical altercation involving three men who were upset over an error in their food order.
During the confrontation, 33-year-old Armando Gonzalez allegedly went behind the counter, pulled out a knife, and threatened a male employee with it. He is also accused of assaulting a female employee before he and the two other men fled the scene.
Following an investigation, police located and stopped Gonzalez early Tuesday morning around 1:45 a.m. near 11th Avenue and Elm Street. He was arrested and taken to jail, facing charges of making criminal threats and brandishing a deadly weapon.
