After teasing fans with a limited release in Ohio back in December, Wendy’s is finally bringing its new Saucy Nuggs to the entire United States. The chain announced that the saucy snack will officially be available nationwide on June 10th.
But eager customers won’t have to wait until next week to get a taste. Starting today, Wendy’s is offering a preview of the Saucy Nuggs for customers who order through the Wendy’s mobile app or website. This week, the app delivery fee is also reduced to $0, making it easy to enjoy those Spicy Ghost Pepper Nuggs right at home.
The Saucy Nuggs come in four sizes (4, 6, 10, and 20 pieces) and are coated in one of seven flavor combinations: Honey BBQ, Garlic Parm, Buffalo, Spicy Honey BBQ, Spicy Garlic Parm, Spicy Buffalo, and Spicy Ghost Pepper. Each order comes with a choice of Ranch or Blue Cheese dipping sauce.
“This new innovation is all about providing a next-level culinary experience rooted in flavor,” said John Li, global vice president of culinary innovation at The Wendy’s Company. “We crafted four unique sauces to complement the Wendy’s nugget experience and to provide fans with a variety of chicken options.”
When the Saucy Nuggs officially launch next week, Wendy’s is running a special DoorDash promotion. From June 12th to 18th, customers who spend $15 or more on the app will get a free 6-piece order of Wendy’s standard nuggets. DashPass members can score a free pack of the new Saucy Nuggs with a $20 order.
