The renowned Southern fast-food chain, Bojangles, known for its delectable fried chicken and biscuits, is expanding its footprint to Los Angeles County, as announced on Monday. Originating from Charlotte, N.C., Bojangles revealed plans to inaugurate 30 locations across the county within the next six years, commencing in early 2025. Spearheading this endeavor are franchisee Lorenzo Boucetta, hailing from L.A., and Poulet Brothers, LLC.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Boucetta stated, “From the moment I was first introduced to Bojangles, I knew immediately that this was a brand that I wanted to be a part of. The delicious chicken, biscuits, and breakfast, combined with strong unit economics and unparalleled support made the decision a no-brainer for me.”
The slated 30 outlets in L.A. County will join Bojangles’ extensive portfolio of over 800 restaurants across the United States. Since its inception in 1977 in Charlotte, the chain has established its presence in 16 states, boasting 349 locations in North Carolina, 149 in South Carolina, and 106 in Georgia as of 2024. Bojangles recently disclosed its intentions to expand to Phoenix.
In addition to the Los Angeles expansion, Bojangles announced franchising opportunities in other prime California areas, indicating a willingness to extend its reach beyond L.A. County into the Golden State.
Bojangles’ menu features a diverse array of offerings, including cajun-seasoned fried chicken and buttermilk biscuits. CEO Jose Armario expressed delight at the prospect of introducing Bojangles to Los Angeles residents, anticipating the exciting growth trajectory ahead.
