Taco Bell has brought the cheese to a whole new level with its latest collaboration with Cheez-It, introducing two Cheez-It-inspired menu items for a limited time.
Starting May 30, Taco Bell Rewards members will get exclusive early access to the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme and the Big Cheez-It Tostada. The items will officially be available nationwide beginning June 6, the restaurant chain confirmed in a May 30 news release.
Both items are set to be available for a short period, with the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme priced at $5.49 and the Big Cheez-It Tostada costing $3.99. Taco Bell teamed up with Kellanova, the parent company of Cheez-It, to develop these cheesy creations. The partnership began in 2022, with a limited-time test run of the Big Cheez-It items at a Taco Bell location in California.
The test run proved a success, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from Taco Bell customers. “The trial run was incredibly successful, as fans made it clear that the Big Cheez-It menu items brought something new and exciting,” the company said in its release.
In February 2024, Taco Bell revealed at its Live Más LIVE event that the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme and Big Cheez-It Tostada would become permanent menu additions. The Tostada’s Cheez-It cracker, it was announced, would be 16 times larger than the original.
“This collaboration isn’t just about bringing two iconic brands together; it’s about harnessing fan innovation to create something truly larger than life,” said Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s Global Chief Food Innovation Officer, at the event.
Both the Crunchwrap Supreme and Tostada feature similar ingredients, with the latter’s oversized Cheez-It cracker taking center stage. For those wanting more with their meal, Taco Bell is also offering the Big Cheez-It Box for $8.99, which includes a Crunchwrap Supreme, a five-layer burrito, nacho fries with cheese sauce, and a medium fountain drink.
