SAN ANTONIO – As Fiesta celebrations in San Antonio can get hectic, with long lines and hot weather, Chick-fil-A is offering a way to enjoy the festivities without the stress. Two local Chick-fil-A locations are introducing a new Fiesta-themed menu item: chicken on a stick.
From April 24 to May 3, fans can order the popular Fiesta snack at the Chick-fil-A stores on Seguin Road (7010 FM 78) and at the intersection of Loop 410 and Rigsby (2203 SE Loop 410). These two locations are serving as test stores for the new item.
The chicken on a stick features a chicken filet, Chick-n-Minis biscuits, and a jalapeño for $8. Customers can add a spicy chicken filet for $9.
This move comes after previous attempts at other chicken spots to offer chicken on a stick, though those initiatives faced corporate pushback. The reaction to this trial run has been positive, with over 2,000 reactions on the initial Facebook post.
Many fans expressed excitement, with Diana Rodriguez commenting, “How cool is that? I don’t have to stand in the long line at Fiesta.”
However, some users, like April Martinez, expressed concern over the flavor, saying, “Not the same flavor profile.” Despite differing opinions, the new menu item is generating buzz and could become a permanent offering if the test is successful.
