Chick-fil-A’s latest quick-service restaurant in Northport is ready to open its doors to the public later this week, according to a company spokesperson.
The grand opening is scheduled for Thursday, April 24, at 6 a.m., marking a new chapter for the beloved fast-food chain in the area. The new location, situated at 6375 McFarland Boulevard—approximately three miles west of the original Chick-fil-A in Northport—will be operated by Ashley Gill, who has long been associated with the brand.
Gill, who has been with Chick-fil-A for over 20 years, has run the original Northport store since 2009. Her commitment to the business is deeply rooted in family tradition. Both her father and grandfather previously owned Chick-fil-A locations, and her brother now manages the store in Jacksonville, Alabama.
“Chick-fil-A has played a meaningful role in my life and in my family’s history,” Gill shared in a press release. “This new opening provides an incredible opportunity to further enhance the dining experience for our guests and create valuable opportunities for our team members. I’m excited to build new relationships while continuing to strengthen the ones we’ve already established.”
The new Chick-fil-A will bring around 90 jobs to the area and demonstrate the company’s commitment to supporting the local community. Chick-fil-A has pledged to donate surplus food to the Tuscaloosa Community Soup Bowl, contribute $25,000 to the West Alabama Food Bank, and offer one year of free food to 100 workers at two local nonprofits.
