New Braunfels, TX — Chipotle Mexican Grill is preparing to expand its presence in the Hill Country with a new restaurant planned for the heart of New Braunfels. The fast-casual dining chain has submitted official plans to open a location in the bustling Creekside Town Center, a 400-plus-acre shopping and entertainment hub positioned between San Antonio and Austin.
According to documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2026. The $650,000 project will take place at 323 Creekside Crossing, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Completion is currently expected by September 8, 2026, though timelines are subject to change.
Located just off Interstate 35, the future restaurant will be a short distance from Buc-ee’s, a popular regional travel stop.
The new Chipotle will join a wide array of well-known retailers and eateries in Creekside Town Center, including JCPenney, Best Buy, HomeGoods, Victoria’s Secret, Lupe Tortilla, and more. The center is also set to welcome major entertainment attractions such as Topgolf and Evo Entertainment in the near future.
Currently, Chipotle operates only one New Braunfels location near the intersection of I-35 and Texas 46, across from a Bill Miller BBQ. With the new site not expected to open until 2026, local fans can still get their Chipotle fix at nearby stores in San Marcos, Cibolo, and Selma.
This upcoming location marks another step in Chipotle’s ongoing expansion strategy, as the brand continues to plant roots in high-growth areas throughout Texas.
