A new Burger King restaurant in Caerphilly could open its doors within the next week, according to Chris Baker, the owner of Unionburger, the company behind the project. This new location will be situated in the town centre, specifically at Castle Court Shopping Centre.
Details About the New Location:
Type of Restaurant: Unlike many of Unionburger’s other Burger King franchises, this one will be a takeaway-style restaurant rather than a drive-thru.
Previous Attempt: This is not the first time a Burger King has operated at Castle Court. A previous franchise opened in 2016 but closed a year later. However, that location was not managed by Unionburger.
Employment Opportunities: The new restaurant has already hired 35 local employees, reflecting a strong commitment to the community.
Chris Baker, who has been in the business for 40 years and operates 17 Burger King franchises, expressed optimism about the new venture. He noted that they typically prefer drive-thru locations but are eager to see how this takeaway model performs in Caerphilly.
