Chick-fil-A, the popular Georgia-based chicken chain, is continuing its rapid expansion in Alberta. After opening its first location in the province just last year, the brand is set to open its fourth Edmonton restaurant this week.
The new location at The Meadows, located at 4004 17th St. NW, will officially open on Thursday, April 10. This restaurant will be locally owned and operated by Jag Dhanju and will serve customers Monday through Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. In addition to dine-in options, the store will feature a drive-thru for customers on the go.
The excitement around Chick-fil-A’s expansion in Edmonton has been growing, especially following the success of the first location at West Edmonton Mall. On opening day, eager fans lined up as early as 6 a.m. to try the restaurant’s signature chicken sandwiches, waffle fries, and handspun milkshakes.
With three locations already operating in Edmonton and one in Calgary, Chick-fil-A’s rapid growth in Alberta is showing no signs of slowing down. The chain plans to open 20 locations across the province by 2030.
