Starbucks has expanded its presence in Malaga with the opening of its seventh outlet in the city, located at the Vialia shopping center. Situated next to the main entrance of María Zambrano train station, the new café serves passengers traveling on high-speed and commuter trains.
As part of its tradition, Starbucks has pledged to donate all proceeds from its opening day to a charitable cause. This time, the funds will go to Avoi, a children’s oncology volunteer association that supports young patients in Malaga’s hospitals.
The new coffee shop will employ 20 staff members and will operate daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. To celebrate the launch, the first 100 customers will receive special gifts, while others will have the chance to win prizes in a raffle.
Antonio Romero, general manager of Starbucks Spain, emphasized the strategic significance of this new outlet, noting its location at Malaga’s busiest train station. He highlighted that the café joins 24 Starbucks locations across Andalucía, with 10 of them in Malaga province.
Since arriving in Malaga in 2014, Starbucks has established outlets in Muelle Uno, Plaza de Félix Sáenz, Calle Hilera (El Corte Inglés), Plaza de la Constitución, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet, and Malaga Airport. The company also operates in Fuengirola’s Miramar shopping center, Marbella’s La Cañada, and El Corte Inglés locations in El Capricho and Puerto Banús.
With this latest opening, Starbucks continues to strengthen its footprint in southern Spain, catering to both locals and travelers in one of the region’s key transport hubs.
