Florida Tech is set to welcome Taco Bell to its campus in March 2026, providing students with a new dining option.
A New Addition to Campus Dining
Currently, Florida Tech’s dining options include chains like Einstein Bros Bagels and Firehouse Subs. However, Taco Bell, the popular California-based taco chain, is expected to take over one of these spots in the campus dining lineup.
Evan Olsen, Director of Campus Dining, shared insights into the decision. “We’ve been conducting market research with students, asking about national vendors they’d like to see on campus. Taco Bell, Chipotle, Subway, and Panda Express were some of the names that came up,” Olsen explained.
Campus Location and Convenience
The site chosen for Taco Bell will be on the seventh floor of the Crawford Science Building. This location was selected due to its central position on campus and easy access to essential utilities like water and electricity.
For students who often study late into the night, the new Taco Bell will offer a much-needed option, with plans for extended hours into the early morning.
Campus security is preparing to monitor “demographic data” to understand the needs of students who frequent the late-night dining spot.
Opening Details
Taco Bell is expected to begin operating with limited hours as early as fall 2025. However, the restaurant will open for full business hours in March 2026, aligning with Taco Bell’s 64th anniversary.
