Fast food fried chicken has some serious competition, with plenty of crispy options like nuggets, tenders, sandwiches, and wings. Earning the title of “Best Fast Food Fried Chicken” is no small feat, yet a lesser-known chain has claimed the top spot.
That chain is Jollibee, and it’s quickly becoming a fan favorite.
For those unfamiliar with Jollibee, it’s time to take notice. Originally founded in the Philippines, Jollibee’s juicy, crispy fried chicken has made a name for itself in the United States. Today, the chain has over 100 locations across North America.
In 2024, Jollibee earned the title of “Best Fast Food Fried Chicken” from USA Today, surpassing well-established brands like Chick-fil-A, Popeyes, and Bojangles. The chain’s signature item, Chickenjoy—bone-in fried chicken—is a fan favorite that some say rivals, or even surpasses, KFC. For nearly 50 years, Chickenjoy has been at the heart of Jollibee’s success.
But now, Jollibee is making waves in a new category: burgers. For the first time ever, the brand is offering a lineup of burgers that could shake up the fast food world.
Jollibee Launches Three New Premium Angus Burgers
Why burgers? Jollibee isn’t satisfied with just dominating fried chicken—it’s setting its sights on the “Best Fast Food Burger” title too. To make its debut in the burger game, Jollibee is introducing three premium burgers, each featuring a quarter-pound patty made with 100% Certified Angus Beef. This high-quality beef is a first for the fast food industry, and Jollibee is proud to offer it in its new burger lineup.
The new burgers are:
The Angus Cheeseburger: A classic burger with crisp pickles, red onions, ketchup, and Jollibee’s signature burger sauce.
The Angus Deluxe Burger: A fresh take with lettuce and Roma tomatoes added to the mix.
The Angus Aloha Burger: A bold and unique burger featuring grilled pineapple, bacon, lettuce, and special Aloha dressing.
All three burgers are smash-seared to order, topped with melted American cheese, and served on a butter-toasted bun.
According to Luis Velasco, Senior Vice President and Marketing Head at Jollibee Foods Corporation in North America, the chain is confident that these burgers will be a hit.
“We’re confident that our trio of new premium Angus burgers will be a runaway hit with burger lovers everywhere,” Velasco said. “Our burgers are crafted with the same passion, attention to detail, and high-quality standards that we bring to all our menu items.”
