SELEN, NY — Chick-fil-A will open its new location in Selden on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the College Plaza shopping center, located at 949 Middle Country Road. This new restaurant, spanning 5,500 square feet, will offer drive-thru, dine-in, and delivery services daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
A highlight of the new location is the Mobile Thru, a dedicated lane at the drive-thru where customers can quickly pick up orders placed through the Chick-fil-A app. This will make it even more convenient for customers to enjoy their meals without leaving their cars.
The Selden restaurant is the 11th Chick-fil-A in Long Island, joining locations in Port Jefferson Station, Commack, Smithtown, Huntington, Farmingdale, and Farmingville. The company also plans to open new locations in Medford, West Babylon, and Lake Ronkonkoma.
Stan Abrahamsen, the local Owner-Operator of the Port Jefferson location, will manage the Selden restaurant. Abrahamsen has lived on Long Island for 38 years and has spent over two decades as a small business owner, focusing on hospitality and service. Since 2015, he has been operating the Port Jefferson Station Chick-fil-A, New York’s first free-standing Chick-fil-A. He will continue to oversee both the Port Jefferson and Selden locations.
“I’m excited to bring Chick-fil-A to Selden and serve my neighbors. Our goal is to create a welcoming atmosphere and support our team members as they grow professionally and personally,” said Abrahamsen.
As part of its commitment to giving back to the community, Chick-fil-A has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to help fight hunger in the greater Long Island area. The Selden restaurant will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which provides surplus food to local shelters, food banks, and nonprofits. This program has already provided over 35 million meals across the U.S. and Canada.
In celebration of the grand opening, Chick-fil-A Selden will honor 100 local heroes by offering them free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year. These individuals are recognized for their positive impact in the Selden community.
Chick-fil-A continues to prioritize local philanthropy, focusing on hunger relief, education, and meeting specific needs in the communities it serves. The Selden opening marks another step in the company’s efforts to make a meaningful impact in Long Island.
