Chick-fil-A fans have something new to look forward to: two unique drinks that are making their debut at select locations.
Known for its chicken, waffle fries, and signature sauces, Chick-fil-A has become a favorite stop for many fast food lovers.
While the chain is famous for its chicken nuggets, it’s also worth noting the other delicious offerings on the menu.
Chick-fil-A’s menu is more streamlined than many of its competitors, which makes each item feel special. The chain has created several unique dishes that are exclusive to Chick-fil-A, adding to its charm. One of the standout items is their signature vanilla ice cream called Icedream. Chick-fil-A uses this Icedream base to craft several popular frozen treats, including the Frosted Lemonade and Frosted Coffee. These “Frosted” drinks combine Icedream with either lemonade or iced coffee, creating a refreshing treat that’s a cross between a slushie and a milkshake. While Frosted drinks have been limited to lemonade and coffee so far, that’s about to change.
New Icedream Beverages
Starting March 17, Chick-fil-A is testing two new beverages in four U.S. markets: the Icedream Spin and Icedream Float.
The Icedream Spin is a new offering that combines Chick-fil-A’s Icedream dessert with any of the chain’s fountain drinks.
This includes Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Cherry Coke, Sprite, Barq’s Root Beer, Dr. Pepper, Diet Dr. Pepper, and Hi-C.
The Icedream Float, on the other hand, takes the classic soda float and adds a swirl of Icedream to the chosen fountain beverage.
Before these official tests, some customers had already created their own version of a “Frosted” Soda at certain locations.
This menu hack mimicked the Icedream Spin, but it depended on the restaurant whether the request would be honored.
Following the success of this unofficial menu item, Chick-fil-A is now formally testing both the Icedream Spin and Icedream Float in participating locations across Chicago, Salt Lake City, San Diego, and Tampa.
