Taco Bell and Pizza Hut are piloting new AI technology aimed at improving service speed, order accuracy, and overall customer experience in select locations.
In a groundbreaking collaboration within the quick-service restaurant (QSR) sector, Yum! Brands — the parent company of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC, and Habit Burger — has teamed up with Nvidia to enhance restaurant operations using artificial intelligence (AI). The goal is to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and improve customer service.
“We have an ambitious vision at Yum! to deliver cutting-edge, AI-driven technology to both our customers and team members worldwide,” said Joe Park, Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Yum! Brands. “Our partnership with Nvidia allows us to leverage our extensive consumer and operational data to build smarter AI systems.”
With over 61,000 locations across the globe, Yum! Brands is testing Nvidia’s AI technology in select Taco Bell and Pizza Hut restaurants in the U.S. The focus of this partnership is on improving drive-thru automation, enhancing order processing, and providing real-time analytics to optimize restaurant performance.
This partnership marks a significant step forward in the use of AI within the QSR industry.
