CROSSVILLE, Tenn. — Texas-based fast food chain Whataburger is continuing its expansion in Tennessee with plans for a new location in Crossville, pending approval from the city’s planning commission.
During a recent city council meeting, officials revealed that Whataburger has submitted a site plan for a restaurant across from Buc-ee’s on Genesis Road. The proposal will be reviewed later this month by the planning commission.
The expansion is part of Whataburger’s broader growth strategy in Tennessee. In November 2024, the company announced new locations in Knoxville and Chattanooga. Currently, the chain operates 23 restaurants in the state, primarily in the Nashville and Memphis regions.
