American fast food chain Carl’s Jr. is eyeing Oxford for its next UK location after making its debut in the country. The popular Californian burger brand, founded in 1941, already has over 1,000 restaurants in the United States and operates in 28 other countries.
The company’s first UK outlet will open in Cardiff, Wales, in April, with plans for a second location in southern England by the summer. According to David Moffat, the country manager for Carl’s Jr. UK, the company aims for rapid expansion. He shared, “We’re targeting 100 locations within the next four years, including both corporate stores and sub-franchises.”
While Carl’s Jr. has not disclosed the exact locations for the remaining 98 restaurants, the brand has confirmed that Oxford is under consideration. A spokesperson for Carl’s Jr. stated, “We are exploring locations across the country, and Oxford is definitely on our list.”
