McDonald’s, famous for its Big Macs and Happy Meals, is also the host of the McDonald’s All American Games (McDAAG), a basketball tournament showcasing the top high school talent in the U.S. The event has been running for almost 50 years and will be held at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, home of the New York Nets, for the first time on April 1. To mark the occasion, McDonald’s is launching a special meal to celebrate the games and get fans excited about basketball.
McDAAG Happy Meal
For the first time ever, McDonald’s is featuring the McDAAG in a Happy Meal. Starting March 11, the limited-edition Happy Meal will be designed with a 2025 McDAAG jersey on the box. It will also include a selection of six basketball-themed toys, such as a mini basketball, stickers, and custom packaging for apple slices and milk. Each meal will come with a QR code, allowing kids to play a digital pop-a-shot game.
The meal not only provides fun but also educates kids about McDonald’s long history with basketball and highlights past McDAAG stars like Carmelo Anthony, Angel Reese, Sabrina Ionescu, and Aaron Gordon, who all went on to play professional basketball.
Additionally, McDonald’s is offering downloadable activity sheets on HappyMeal.com, featuring word searches and a chance to design your own basketball jersey.
Special Meal for Adults
McDonald’s is also introducing a special meal for adults to coincide with the games. The Angel Reese Special includes a BBQ Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese, medium fries, and a medium drink. This is McDonald’s first national meal collaboration with a female athlete and comes just in time for the McDAAG.
This limited-time meal gives both kids and adults something to enjoy while celebrating the McDonald’s All American Games.
