Taco Bell is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its iconic Crunchwrap Supreme by introducing a new, mini version: the Steak & Queso Crunchwrap Sliders. These bite-sized treats were launched on February 27, marking a significant milestone in the chain’s history of innovative, cheesy, and crunchy offerings.
The New Crunchwrap Sliders
The Steak & Queso Crunchwrap Sliders are designed to be “snackable” and come in orders of two. Each slider features grilled steak, chipotle sauce, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, and a mini tostada, all wrapped in a soft tortilla and grilled to perfection. To enhance the experience, they are served with a side of Green Chile Queso for dipping.
Background of the Crunchwrap Supreme
The Crunchwrap Supreme was first tested in 2005 and became a permanent menu item in 2006 due to its immense popularity. The classic version is larger and typically includes beef, nacho cheese sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and a tostada shell. Over the years, Taco Bell has introduced various twists, such as the Breakfast Crunchwrap and Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme.
Additional Menu Updates
In addition to the new Crunchwrap Sliders, Taco Bell is also launching the Caliente Cantina Chicken menu. This menu includes spicy versions of popular items like crispy tacos, soft tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and bowls. Each item features slow-roasted chicken with Mexican spices and is served with a packet of Avocado Verde salsa.
Availability
The Steak & Queso Crunchwrap Sliders are available nationwide for a limited time, offering fans a unique way to enjoy the Crunchwrap experience in a smaller, shareable format.
