The Burger King in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania, has closed permanently. Signs posted on the door indicated the closure, which took effect Tuesday at 10 p.m. The restaurant was located at 2 S. Mountain Blvd. in Fairview Township.
Notices directed customers to another Burger King location on State Route 309 in Wilkes-Barre Township. The signs also thanked the community for its support over the years.
By Thursday morning, signs were being removed from the building, and workers were seen inside taking out equipment. The Burger King was owned by Davis Restaurant Group L.P., based in Shavertown. This group manages several other Burger King locations in the region.
