COPPERAS COVE — A new Jimmy John’s fast-food restaurant specializing in sandwiches has officially opened in Copperas Cove.
The location, at 901 E. Business 190, Suite 100, welcomed customers on Tuesday. The Illinois-based chain is known for its signature submarine sandwiches.
“There’s something for everybody here,” said Jay Buban, vice president of operations. “It’s an exciting product; it’s in your face.”
The restaurant offers a variety of sandwiches featuring meats like bacon, ham, roast beef, and turkey, along with fresh vegetables such as lettuce and tomato, plus a range of additional toppings. Buban emphasized the convenience of fast service and fresh food, adding that customers can enjoy their sandwiches however they like. The new Copperas Cove spot includes both a drive-thru and delivery service.
In a first for the more than 40-year-old chain, Jimmy John’s is now offering toasted sandwiches. Buban noted that these toasted subs feature warm bread and melted cheese, marking a major menu expansion. As part of this rollout, specialty toasted sandwiches will be introduced at select locations in the future.
Tuesday’s opening marks the first Jimmy John’s in Copperas Cove. Buban pointed out that the city’s sandwich options were limited, making it an ideal spot for expansion. In addition to the new Copperas Cove location, the chain operates seven other stores in Central Texas, including in Killeen and Fort Cavazos.
