McDonald’s has permanently closed its location in the Westfield Wheaton mall food court (11160 Veirs Mill Rd.), making way for fast-food rival Burger King. Burger King will join Pollo Campero and Popeye’s, which are also set to open in the food court.
The current food court lineup includes Bourbon Street Cafe, Charleys Cheesesteaks, Grill Kabob, Suki Hana, Taco Bell, and Thai Kitchen.
Westfield recently announced that Montgomery County’s Department of Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) will be opening its upgraded retail concept, Oak Barrel & Vine, on the upper level near the Costco wing. In addition, Wiseguy Pizza, which had opened in September 2023 as the chain’s first Maryland location, closed earlier this month.
