The largest Pizza Hut franchisee in the U.S., Flynn Group, will officially open a new location in Ponte Vedra on January 31.
Flynn Group, based in San Francisco, owns over 975 Pizza Hut stores across 27 states, according to a press release from January 14.
The new store is located at 10580 U.S. 1 N. in the Shoppes of Valley Ridge. Osage Contractors of Buckner, Missouri, managed the construction of the 1,400-square-foot restaurant, with a project cost of $140,000.
The store had a soft opening on January 14, ahead of the grand opening.
As of August 1, there were 6,739 Pizza Hut locations across the U.S., according to Scrapehero.co. Texas has the highest number of stores, with 918, representing about 14% of the country’s total. Florida is home to 461 locations, including 26 in Jacksonville and five in St. Johns County.
The Ponte Vedra Pizza Hut will operate from 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
“We see each of our locations as an investment in the local community, from creating jobs to supporting charitable initiatives,” said Jerrod Mitchell, vice president of marketing for Flynn Group, in a news release. “We look forward to offering the quality and value that Pizza Hut fans love, while becoming an active partner in the Ponte Vedra area.”
To celebrate the grand opening, the first 25 customers at the Ponte Vedra location on January 31 will receive free pizza for a year, with certain restrictions.
