The former Tim Hortons restaurant in Vernon has been demolished.
Located at the intersection of Highway 97 and 32nd Street, the restaurant was torn down on Tuesday, January 21. The debris was quickly cleared from the site of the location, which had been closed since 2020.
The closure was attributed to a combination of factors, including the COVID-19 pandemic, staffing shortages, and rising inflation. Although there were initial plans to reopen the restaurant, these plans were never carried out.
Vernon Matters reached out to Tim Hortons’ corporate office for comment, but as of publication, the company had not provided a response.
