Burger King is bringing a taste of the popular One Piece anime to its fans with a new, limited-time menu. In collaboration with Toei Animation, the fast food chain is offering burgers themed around the beloved characters Luffy and Sanji, each with their own unique meal.
The campaign, unveiled through Burger King’s official social media channels, started in Switzerland on December 30, 2024, and will run until February 2, 2025. Ireland is also participating in this collaboration. The promotion, dubbed the “Home of the Boat Whopper,” is part of Burger King’s ongoing efforts to integrate anime into its offerings.
The Luffy meal features a Swiss beef patty, crispy onions, BBQ sauce, mayonnaise, pickles, and cheddar cheese, all served in a burger. An exclusive white t-shirt featuring Luffy with a Burger King crown and Sanji in a Burger King uniform is also available for separate purchase. Meanwhile, the Sanji meal includes a premium chicken patty sandwich with wholegrain mustard, caramelized onions, crunchy lettuce, cheddar cheese, and mayonnaise. A black t-shirt, showcasing Sanji preparing a burger with Luffy in the background, accompanies this meal.
For those seeking a plant-based option, the “Veggie Luffy Burger” offers a vegetarian alternative with a plant-based patty and optional vegan modifications, excluding mayonnaise and cheese.
While there is no official word yet on whether this collaboration will expand to other European countries or North America, a similar One Piece menu was launched in France in early 2024. Additionally, Burger King is currently running a limited-time Naruto-themed menu in France, featuring characters Naruto and Sasuke.
