Taco Bell is expanding its menu with the addition of new Luxe Cravings Boxes priced at $5 and $9, announced on Tuesday.
This comes in response to the success of the $7 Luxe Cravings Box launched last year.
The $9 Luxe Cravings Box will include a rotating limited-time offer (LTO), a Doritos Locos Taco, a crunchy taco, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium drink. This strategy aims to gauge customer reactions to new menu items while enhancing Taco Bell’s value offerings.
With its focus on value and innovative menu items, Taco Bell has emerged as a standout in the restaurant industry in 2024.
The introduction of these new boxes signals that the brand will continue this strategy into 2025.
The $5 box features four items: a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, a crunchy taco, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium drink. This is a smaller selection compared to the unchanged $7 box. Notably, both new boxes replace chips and nacho cheese sauce with Cinnamon Twists, possibly catering to customers with a preference for sweeter options.
The fast-food sector is seeing a strong start to the year for value meals. Other chains like Subway and Del Taco have also announced new discount offerings, while McDonald’s has finalized its national value platform.
After successfully launching its $7 Luxe Cravings Boxes in June 2024, Taco Bell is now enhancing its value meal selections with both lower-priced and premium options.
