Wendy’s is introducing a new seasonal flavor for fall: the Salted Caramel Frosty. The popular fast-food chain is set to roll out this autumn-inspired treat once the limited-time Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants, is phased out in November, according to the food news account @snackolator on Instagram.
Fans of Wendy’s signature frozen dessert are already buzzing with excitement over the new flavor. Some even expressed relief that Wendy’s is skipping the usual pumpkin spice option this year in favor of salted caramel.
“Salted caramel is a great fall flavor—IMO, better than pumpkin spice!” @snackolator wrote in a recent post.
While many are eagerly awaiting the release, others are already raving about the new Frosty. One Instagram user commented, “This flavor is what dreams are made of.”
However, not everyone is thrilled with the seasonal switch. Some fans expressed frustration over the possibility that Wendy’s will not be bringing back the Vanilla Frosty when the Salted Caramel version debuts. “I’m so tired of them getting rid of vanilla to substitute these seasonal flavors. Can I just get vanilla and the seasonal flavor? Chocolate isn’t that good,” one person shared.
The announcement has also sparked some envy among Frosty enthusiasts who live outside the U.S., as @snackolator revealed several international Frosty flavors, including Chocolate Covered Pretzel, White Chocolate Strawberry, and Mango Tajin. These overseas options have left some American fans feeling like they’re missing out.
While the Salted Caramel Frosty is still a few weeks away from hitting Wendy’s menu, the excitement for this seasonal treat is already growing.
