Chick-fil-A is expanding its presence in Denver with a new restaurant planned for the southeast corner of Central Park Blvd and I-70. The upcoming location is part of the broader Runway 35 South development, a project aimed at revitalizing the area near the former Stapleton Airport runway.
The new Chick-fil-A will be situated between I-70 and 40th Avenue, just off Central Park Blvd. The site is located behind a QuikTrip convenience store and to the east of a Wendy’s restaurant. Other new businesses expected in the area include Andy’s Frozen Custard, Cracker Barrel, 7 Brew Coffee, a car wash, and a Fairfield Inn and Suites hotel spanning 15,000 square feet.
The project is being supported by Merrick & Company, which is providing civil engineering and surveying services, while Core States Group is responsible for the architectural design. Specific details about the development remain limited at this time.
Runway 35 is a large-scale redevelopment project covering 31 acres, with plans divided into Runway North, Runway South, and the Control Tower Project. The development, which pays tribute to the history of the Stapleton Airport, is expected to transform the Central Park neighborhood into a thriving commercial and community hub.
Founded by Truett Cathy in 1946, Chick-fil-A is widely known for its signature chicken sandwich and commitment to faith-based values, including its policy of closing on Sundays. With more than 2,900 locations across the United States, it continues to be one of the top-performing fast-food chains.
