(CNN) – Taco Bell is experimenting with a new café concept called Live Más Café, placing a strong emphasis on beverages.
The fast-food giant recently opened its first location in San Diego, offering a menu that highlights milkshakes, coffee drinks, fruity iced beverages, and its popular Mountain Dew Baja Blast.
Industry experts believe that this new focus on drinks could help Taco Bell draw in younger customers and expand its appeal to a broader audience.
This move follows a similar strategy by McDonald’s, which introduced its beverage-focused café, Cosmc’s, last year. Like Taco Bell’s new venture, McDonald’s concept also targets younger consumers with a mix of drinks and snack options.
