A new Whataburger restaurant is set to open in Flower Mound, Texas, as confirmed by a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The new location will be situated at 3201 Long Prairie Road and is expected to offer a menu featuring burgers, breakfast items, shakes, and more.
Construction for the Whataburger is projected to begin in March 2025, with an anticipated completion date in early September 2025. The project will cost approximately $2.5 million and will encompass 3,335 square feet. The restaurant will include two drive-thru lanes and operate 24 hours a day.
This will mark the first Whataburger in Flower Mound, which is notable for being the largest municipality in Texas without one. The Flower Mound Town Council approved the restaurant’s proposal back in April 2023, followed by site plan approval from the Planning & Zoning Commission last month.
