TYLER — Nearly two dozen Whataburger restaurants in East Texas will kick off their annual Ornament Sales to benefit the East Texas Food Bank starting December 4. Customers can purchase train ornaments to decorate each restaurant until December 17, with all proceeds going directly to the food bank.
“They are a great organization that we’ve partnered with for 25 years,” said Nicole Jones, Director of Marketing for DKT Investments. “Some of our restaurants receive so many donations that they end up covering the walls with ornaments. We often run out of space to display them.”
DKT Investments operates 23 Whataburger locations across a dozen communities. The East Texas Food Bank serves clients from Texarkana to Lufkin. Customers can donate as little as $1 to have their names placed on an ornament, which will then be hung in the restaurant.
This annual fundraiser highlights the ongoing commitment of Whataburger to support local communities and address food insecurity in the region.
